Gooey Rich Brownies

2 sqs. unsweetened chocolate
1/3 c. butter or margarine
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. unsifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Place chocolate in small glass mixing bowl. Place in microwave oven and heat 2 minutes on high until chocolate is melted. Add butter; continue heating 30 to 45 seconds until melted. Add sugar, eggs, and vanilla and beat 2 minutes. Stir in flour and salt just until well blended. Pour into greased 8 inch square dish. Sprinkle nuts over batter. Place in microwave oven and cook on high 4 to 4 1/2 minutes, giving dish 1/2 turn after 2 minutes of cooking. Remove from oven and cool. Makes about 20 brownies.
